#1. Deleting your account in the app
The fastest route is the app itself:
Settings → Delete account, then confirm by typing DELETE.
Your account and data are removed as soon as you confirm, your session ends, and data stored on the device — including the "Home" and "Work" coordinates and notification settings — is cleared. The operation cannot be undone, and we never ask you for a reason.
#2. Requesting deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, write to us:
Send an account deletion request
or simply send a message to delete-account@medsreminder.app.
Identity confirmation. We act on a request once we have established that it comes from the account holder — most simply when you send it from the e-mail address linked to the Google account used to sign in. Where there is doubt, we may ask for additional information needed to confirm your identity (GDPR Art. 12(6)). Without this step, anyone could delete someone else's account.
Timing. We respond without undue delay and no later than one month from receiving the request (GDPR Art. 12(3)). In particularly complex cases this may be extended by a further two months — we will tell you about the extension and its reason within the first month.
Requesting deletion is free of charge.
#3. What we delete
Deleting your account covers:
- profile data — the name, e-mail address, and profile picture taken from your Google account,
- the entire medication list, with doses and schedules,
- the complete intake history — doses taken, skipped, and postponed,
- the record of your consent to processing health data,
- the sign-in account itself,
- data stored locally on the device, if you delete the account from within the app.
Deletion cascades at the database level: removing the account automatically removes every medication and intake record associated with it. The data leaves our production systems without delay.
The full picture — exactly what disappears, what remains, and for how long — is in Privacy Policy §8.
#4. What we retain and why
We keep a single pseudonymized technical record whose only purpose is to prevent repeatedly creating accounts to obtain another free trial. It contains no e-mail address, name, picture, medication list, or intake history — those are deleted irreversibly.
The exact list of retained fields, the legal basis, and your right to object are described in Privacy Policy §8.
#5. Your Google Play subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play — billing is managed by Google, not by us. A subscription must be cancelled separately:
Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions
Details in Terms of Service §11. Complaints about charges and refunds are handled by Google Play as the payment processor.
